Our Program
The first days and weeks of recovery can be a challenging time. Much is being learned during treatment, and new patterns of behavior are being developed. Exodus House provides leadership and guidance for residents who are newly clean and sober. Residents of our home are expected to follow house rules (such as zero tolerance for drug or alcohol use or possession), take responsibility for certain household duties (cooking, cleaning and light maintenance), and attend 12 step meetings, both onsite, as well as in the surrounding communities.
Residents live in a comfortable, home-like, yet structured environment learning the tools necessary to build a foundation for a lasting clean and sober life. Many residents build lasting friendships in our program that offer ongoing mutual support after treatment is completed. Many former clients have found life-long friends among their fellow Exodus House residents.
Exodus House offers:
- A structured, yet home-like environment
- Individual Counseling
- Group Therapy
- Family Counseling
- Relapse Prevention
- A 12-Step Program
- Vocational and Educational referrals
- Recreational Activities
- Participation in Life
- Having Fun in Sobriety
And while our program is deeply committed to practicing the principles of the 12 Steps, through meetings, journaling, and step work, it is also founded on reconnecting with the joys of living a clean and sober lifestyle. We firmly believe that if a person doesn't learn how to have fun in sobriety, his chances for long-term sobriety are greatly diminished.
Bill W., the founder of Alcoholics Anonymous said, "We absolutley insist on enjoying life," and our staff and residents take this to heart. Whether you've never been in treatment before, are transitioning from another treatment center, or have relapsed, Exodus House can help you return to a life worth living again.
